مسافرت کردن یک امر بسیار رایج در بین مردم جهان است. بعضی افراد برای تفریح و خوش گذرانی به مسافرت می‌روند و بعضی دیگر برای کار یا تجارت به شهر‌ها یا کشور‌های دیگر سفر می‌کنند. در این مسافرت‌ها شما مجبورید با دیگر افراد صحبت کنید. در این موقعیت collocations بسیار به شما کمک خواهد کرد. در این مقاله قصد داریم تا چند Travel Collocation کاربردی و رایج را با هم یادبگیریم. با یادگیری این collocation ها و استفاده آن‌ها در مکالمات انگلیسی خود براحتی منظور خود را می‌رسانید و بیشتر از سفر خود لذت خواهید برد. حتما فایل صوتی مربوط به این درس را که در انتهای مقاله گذاشته شده است را گوش کنید.

در این بخش ما چند Travel Collocation را که در آن‌ها کلمات Travel, Journey,Trip وجود دارد را در قالب متن یادمی‌گیریم.

1- tiring journey: سفر خسته کننده

2- return journey: سفر برگشت (متضاد outward journey)

2- day trip: سفر روزانه (سفری که در یک روز تمام میشه مثل سفر به یک روستا یا شهر نزدیک)

3- boat trip: سفر با قایق مخصوصا برای لذت بردن

4- Safe journey: کلمه‌ای که هنگام خداحافظی با مسافر گفته می‌شود

I got some travel brochures with details of camping trips. Want to meet for lunch to look at them? One of them is in Chile, but it’s a long overnight journey from the capital to get there, so maybe we should nearer home?

1- travel brochures: متن‌های تبلیغاتی هستند که مقضد، هتل و … را تبلیغ می‌کنند

2-camping trips: مکانی که مسافران در آنجا چادر یا موارد دیگر را نصب می‌کنند

3-overnight journey: یک سفر طولانی شبانه مثلا از عصر تا صبح روز بعد

خب حالا که چند Travel Collocation را یادگرفتیم برای تفهیم بیشتر آن‌ها تمرین زیر را انجام می‌دهیم.

تمرین1

هر جمله را با Travel, Journey,Trip کامل کنید.

1- I’ll get some ………. brochures today and we can start planning our holiday.

2- John is away on a business ……….. all week.

3- Was it tiring ………….. from Seoul to Los Angles?

4- I prefer to arrange my holidays myself rather than use a …………. agent.

5- I hope your flight is on time tomorrow. Safe ……………! See you at the airport.

2- in-flight magazine: یک مجله رایگان هست که در سالن پرواز یا پشت صندلی هواپیما توزیع می‌شود

3- fasten your seatbelts: بستن کمربند ایمنی

4- boarded the plane: سوار شدن در هواپیما

5- connecting flight: رسیدن به مقصد با تعویض دو یا چند هواپیما (پرواز غیر مستقیم)

6- Domestic flight: پرواز داخلی (پرواز‌هایی که فقط در داخل یک کشور انجام می‌شوند)

7- window seat: صندلی کنار پنجره

8- aisle seat: صندلی کنار راهرو

9- charter flight: پروازی که توسط یک هواپیمای اجاره‌ای صورت می‌گیرد

10- scheduled flight: پرواز معمولی که توسط کمپانی هواپیما سازماندهی می‌شود

11- smooth flight: پرواز راحت بدون هیچ تکان اضافی (متضاد bumpy flight)

We stayed in a small, family-run hotel.

The Panorama is a rather run-down hotel in back street near the city center.

The Place is a luxury hotel on the main square of Porto Alegre.

As a student, I can’t afford to stay in smart hotels. I always have to look for budget accommodation.

I’d advise you to make a reservation before you go. The hotels near the beach are very popular and get fully booked during the summer.

1- family-run hotel: هتل خانوادگی که اعضای خانواده در آن کار می‌کنند

2- run-down hotel: هتلی با شرایط و امکانات ضعیف

3-luxury hotel: هتل لوکس و 5 ستاره

4- smart hotels: هتل هوشمند (هتلی که تمام امکاناتش با فشردن یک کلیک فعال می‌شود)

5- budget accommodation: ساختمانی که نزدیک به 6 نفر با هم در آن امکان داشته و دستشویی و حمام مشترک دارند

6- make a reservation: رزرو کردن

7- fully booked: کاملا پر یا رزرو شده

تمرین2

بعد از یادگیری این Travel Collocation ها برای درک بهتر آن‌ها چند تمرین مفید را با هم انجام می‌دهیم.

جمله‌های زیر را تکمیل کنید.
